About Morgan Wade

Morgan Wade is an American country music singer who entered the scene in 2018. Since then she has released two studio albums, one self-released and the other beneath the Thirty Tigers label.

Music Origin

Morgan Wade got her start in music as a songwriter as a freshman in college. One day, she decided to record her first album and recruited musicians through Craigslist to help her. The album that resulted, Puppets With My Heart, was released soon after. The album, she later told Rolling Stone Country, was inspired after her break up with her boyfriend.

Soon after, that same year, Morgan Wade was performing at FloydFest along with other artists including Jason Isbell. Isbell’s sound engineer gave her album to Sadler Vaden, the guitarist in Isbell’s band. This led to Vaden helping Wade assemble another album which would release in 2021 under the Thirty Tigers label. And the album became a fast success with over 3,000 copies sold in its first week. The album charted well on the Billboard charts and her unique voice and style was well reviewed by critics.

Morgan Wade’s voice and style has been commented on by reviewers across the world. With some comparing her favorably towards ‘hardened Sheryl Crow’, with a complexity and melancholy that shouts about heartbreak while still being thoughtful.

Her second album was re-released early 2022 with a cover of Elvis Presley’s 1969 hit “Suspicious Minds”. And fans can’t wait to hear what’s coming next for this rising star.
